Welcomer Front of House and Patrol Steward

Langley Park

Welcomers are the public face of Ushaw to our many visitors each year, they are the frontline ambassadors of the organisation. This is a crucial role as we welcome visitors into the building and ensure they know where they are going and what is happening in the building. It is a key role committed to exceeding visitors' expectations so that they have an unforgettable experience from their time with us.

No two days are ever the same at Ushaw Historic House Chapels and Gardens so you need to be prepared to get involved.

The ability to be visible, approachable, to engage and share information, and to assist visitors with their enquiries is a fundamental aspect of the role.

Responsibilities

You will be there to welcome our visitors into the building, checking tickets, making sure they are aware of the layout
of the building and know where to go. Point out any areas of special interest and answer questions. You may be required to take payment for entries into the building or donations from the bookshop.
There are opportunities to get involved with other events and activities that occur at Ushaw.
