Volunteer Admin Role Willington Head Office

Crook/Willington

This role helps keep our services running smoothly by providing friendly, reliable administrative support. As a Volunteer Admin Support, you’ll play an important part in helping customers, organising maintenance tasks, and supporting our staff and volunteers. Your contribution will help create a positive, well-organised environment where our team can focus on making a real difference in the community.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be helping customers by taking orders, answering enquiries, and providing friendly support while ensuring information is passed between teams effectively. You’ll assist with organising maintenance paperwork and scheduling appointments, as well as helping to plan staff and volunteer events and supporting general volunteer administration. You’ll also play a part in the day-to-day running of the hub, keeping things organised and supporting the team wherever needed.

Skills & Qualities

We’re looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks with ease. You should have an understanding of data protection and be comfortable handling sensitive information confidentially. Previous experience in administrative roles is helpful but not essential. Most importantly, you’ll be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility, adaptability, and a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the community will help you thrive in this role.

When & Where?

This volunteer role is based at our Willington Head Office. The hours are flexible and part-time, so you can fit your volunteering around other commitments. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute in a way that works for you while supporting our team and the community.

Training and Support Offered/Expenses

We provide full training and ongoing support to help you feel confident and succeed in your role. You’ll be welcomed into a friendly team and have access to guidance whenever you need it. While this is a volunteer position, reasonable travel and out-of-pocket expenses related to your volunteering can be reimbursed, so you won’t be out of pocket for helping us.

Volunteer Benefits

Volunteering with us gives you the chance to make a real difference in the community while gaining valuable skills and experience. You’ll meet new people, be part of a supportive and friendly team, and enjoy a positive, inclusive working environment. This role also offers opportunities to develop your organisational, communication, and administrative skills, which can be useful for future career or personal growth.
