The Hearth Team (Community Engagement)

Bishop Auckland

Hearth is all about bringing people together. It’s part of the bigger regeneration project, but at its core, it’s a space where everyone’s welcome—just as they are. In a world that can feel noisy and disconnected, Hearth is a reminder of what really matters: people, connection, and community.

It’s about creating a real sense of belonging. When we connect with others in genuine ways, we start to feel at home. From that place of belonging, we can live more openly, more purposefully—and that’s what Hearth is here to support.

We believe community is built together. That’s why we’re inviting local people, organisations, artists, and service providers to help shape Hearth from the ground up. Everyone’s voice matters, and everyone has something to bring to the table.

And right now—we’re looking for volunteers! Hearth is launching a bunch of activities to bring the community into the heart of the spaces managed by The Auckland Project, and we need your help to make it all happen.

Come be part of something meaningful, fun, and made by the community—for the community.
