Parent Carer Champion Volunteer

Ferryhill, Weardale, Bishop Auckland, Spennymoor, Sedgefield, Peterlee, Lanchester, Seaham, Consett, Crook/Willington, Chester le Street, Teesdale, Newton Aycliffe, Stanley, Durham City

To support Durham County Carers Support by attending Community events such as roadshow’s, information events and coffee mornings to inform participants of the services we offer.

Responsibilities

Duties to include one or more of the following elements:

To promote the support available to Parent Carers through Durham County Carers Support. You may be tending to an information stand, attending a local coffee morning or going along to a school fare. You will be given all the information you need to represent DCCS and the services we provide.

You will not be expected to advise Parent Carers and should direct any queries to the Parent Carer Team at DCCS.

To work within the organisations GDPR (Data Protection) guidelines

The Parent Carer team and Volunteer team with support will coordinate all duties any training and responsibilities of the role with the Volunteer in conjunction with policies and procedures of DCCS.

Training and Support Offered/Expenses

You will receive ongoing support and supervisions with a member of either the Parent Carer team or the Volunteer team and can be requested by either party at any time but no longer than 6 months apart.
