At our Bishop Auckland and Durham City sites, we have a small garden areas that requires some attention. We have a small fund to support with purchasing materials and are looking for a keen gardener to lead on this project with the support of some of the people that access our service.
We are open to ideas from how the space can be better utilised but our initial thoughts were to create a living wall, planters, bird boxes, fruit trees, vegetables that can mainly grow up on canes, herb garden. We would also like a memory tree, flowers that attract wildlife and a seating area.

Keen and knowledgeable gardener with suitable experience
Passionate about making the of most outdoor spaces

Good time keeping
Able to work as part of a team, on own initiative and to instruction
An understanding of Humankind – information is available on our website and you can call a specific project to make enquires
Desirable Criteria
Access to gardening equipment that can be used as part of the role
Able to commit to a minimum of one month to be able to carry out the majority of the work
