The purpose of a charity executive secretary trustee is to provide administrative and secretarial support to the trustees and management of the charity, and to help ensure that the organisation is run effectively and in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

The role of the charity executive secretary trustee includes responsibilities such as:

Providing administrative support: The charity executive secretary trustee may be responsible for providing administrative support to the trustees and management of the charity, including tasks such as scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and maintaining records and files.

Facilitating communication: The executive secretary trustee may act as a liaison between the trustees, management, and other stakeholders, such as donors, volunteers, and members of the community.

Helping to ensure compliance: The executive secretary trustee will assist in making sure the organisation is following laws and regulations that affect the charity, and that the organisations operations and financial activities are in compliance.

Representing the organisation: The charity executive secretary trustee may represent the organisation to external stakeholders, such as government officials and members of the public, as well as to internal stakeholders such as employees, volunteers, and other trustees.

Assist with decision-making and governance: The executive secretary trustee will assist the trustees with decision-making and governance of the organisation by providing relevant information, reports, and research when needed.

The ultimate goal of the charity executive secretary trustee is to support the trustees and management in running the organisation effectively, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations and help the organisation achieve its mission and objectives.

Knowledge of laws and regulations: The executive secretary trustee should have a good understanding of laws and regulations that affect the charity, and be able to help ensure that the organisation is in compliance.

Role currently available and open to application. We are based within the centre of Consett.

Training and Support Offered/Expenses

Relevant training will be provided where needed. This role will entail working closely with the CEO which includes support within the role and development. Petrol Expenses can be claimed.
