Sacriston Youth Project (SYP) are recruiting Young Trustees to join on our board of Trustees. As a Young Trustee, you can make a real difference to the children and young people of Sacriston and surrounding villages in County Durham. You can help shape SYP for your generation of young people and for the next!
SYP runs youth clubs, allotment club, podcast workshops, trips and residentials for the children and young people of Sacriston and surrounding villages in County Durham. Qualified and enthusiastic workers and volunteers provide safe, engaging and informative sessions. We've won awards for our work. Becoming a Young Trustees on our Board of Trustees would continue our commitment of putting young people's voices at the centre of SYP!
As a Young Trustee you will:
- Attend six Board of Trustee meetings a year
- Make sure our charity is carrying out its purposes for the public benefit
- Manage our charity's resources responsibly
To be a Young Trustee, you must be aged between 16 and 25 and be available for up to 2 hours per month.
No prior Trustee experience is needed, just enthusiasm and passion for supporting children and young people in Sacriston and the surrounding villages in County Durham!
We would especially love to hear from young people who have attended SYP sessions, events or trips - in the past or currently! We welcome anyone to apply from any background.
