To assist in the setting up marshalling and monitoring of a parkrun starting from Easington Colliery Nature Reserve on a Saturday morning between 8.30am and 10.30am
One of the following roles will be assigned each week and will vary depending on the volunteers available:-
Marshal - standing at a fixed point on the course to direct and encourage participants on the course.
Barcode scanning - scanning with your mobile phone through a dedicated app the registration number of the participant and their finishing position token.
Parkwalker - walking the 5k course and encouraging other walking participants along the way.
No experience is necessary all that is required is enthusiasm and friendliness towards all taking part in the event. Volunteers must be registered online with parkrun assistance can be given with this if needed.
The event takes place every Saturday morning starting at Easington Colliery Nature Reserve. Volunteers are required between 8.30am and 10.30am on as many or as few Saturdays as they are able or want give.
A briefing will be given each week as to what is required on that occasion. This is event is run entirely by volunteers and no expenses are provided.
