Volunteer Recording Assistant

Spennymoor, Crook/Willington, Durham City

The purpose of this role is to record articles from our monthly newsletter, so that those with severe sight loss can enjoy the newsletter in audio format.

Responsibilities

To be able to receive articles prior to recording, to read through them and highlight any errors found.
To record each article, speaking clearly, using recording software used by Blind Life.
To edit each article, where possible, and save in the appropriate place on Blind Life's pc.

Skills & Qualities

An enjoyment of engaging with people.
A positive attitude, team player, and willing to assist people.
A good standard of communication and timekeeping.
Can understand and follow guidelines and work to deadlines.
Be flexible in your approach.
The ability to speak clearly.

When & Where?

Ad hoc/variable.
You will be contacted prior to each event to see if you are available and you can elect whether or not you wish to volunteer in each instance.
