As a Volunteer Driver for FareShare North East, you will play a vital role in tackling food waste and hunger by collecting surplus food from suppliers and delivering it to local charities, schools, and community groups across the region.
Your efforts will directly support vulnerable communities by ensuring good quality surplus food reaches
those who need it most.
Key tasks:
-Safely drive a FareShare North East van along scheduled routes.
-Load and unload food deliveries with care and efficiency.
-Ensure accurate delivery and collection records are maintained.
-Represent FareShare North East in a friendly and professional manner.
-Follow all health, safety, and food handling guidelines
Skills:
-Full UK driving licence (must be valid and clean).
-Aged 21 or over.
-Comfortable lifting and carrying food crates.
-Reliable, punctual, and committed to helping reduce food waste and hunger
Flexible shifts available Monday to Friday - between the hours of 8am-3pm
