At RSPCA Sunderland, Hartlepool and South Shields are a small, local and independent Charity.
Our charity shop volunteers play a vital role in raising the profile of the RSPCA in our local community whilst raising funds so that we can continue our important animal welfare work.
This role is ideal for you if you are newly free from full-time work or transitioning out of work and looking for a rewarding way to spend your free time.
Helping customers in the shop
Accepting donations of items and money
Processing sales through the till and card machine, including Gift Aid
Steaming
Cleaning
Sorting through donated items
Preparing donated items for sale
Restock on the shop floor
Creating window displays
Friendly and cheerful
Decent numeracy skills
At least one morning or afternoon per week
We are looking for a long term commitment of a minimum of 6 months
Ideal for someone transitioning from full time employment into an easier way of life
