Trustee of TCR Hub in Barnard Castle

Teesdale, Volunteering from Home

This is an opportunity to play a role in shaping the future of an organisation that makes a real difference to people’s lives across Teesdale. Our Board of Trustees oversees governance, strategic planning and financial stewardship, ensuring TCR continues to fulfil its mission and deliver lasting benefit to the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

Trustees provide strategic leadership, governance and oversight to ensure the charity achieves its aims effectively and sustainably. The role includes contributing to strategy and policy development, overseeing financial performance, compliance and risk, monitoring organisational impact, and supporting the development of the Board.

Trustees also act as ambassadors for the charity, supporting fundraising, advocacy and stakeholder engagement, and work constructively with the senior leadership team to provide appropriate support and challenge while maintaining a clear distinction from day-to-day management.

As a Trustee you will:

- Contribute to strategic direction and long-term planning
- Help ensure TCR meets its legal, financial and governance responsibilities
- Bring your skills, networks and experience to bear on decisions that directly impact our community

We welcome applications from all backgrounds, including current users and volunteers of TCR services. Building a diverse Board is a priority.

- Marketing or communications
- Fundraising
