Help us make a difference this winter! 🎄💚
Our Tesco Winter Collection is coming up, and we’d love your help!
We’re looking for volunteers to join us at Tesco stores in Chester-le-Street, Durham Gilesgate and Newton Aycliffe.
Volunteers will help collect donations from shoppers, encourage people to donate an extra item or two, and help sort and organise the donations ready to support local people and families facing hardship.
Every donation collected helps us support local people facing crisis, providing food and essentials when they need them most, both over Christmas and into the new year.
Even giving a couple of hours of your time can make a real difference! If you’d like to get involved and help us make this year’s collection a success, we’d love to hear from you.
✅ Chatting to customers and encouraging donations
✅ Collecting and sorting donated items
✅ Packing food into crates ready for collection
✅ Helping set up and run our foodbank stand
No skills or experience needed, just a friendly nature and a willingness to help!
The collection takes place from 26–28 November, between 9:30am and 4:30pm, with volunteer slots lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes. Just let us know which slot you’d like to do!
