T20 Family Zone Activation

To work alongside Durham Cricket Foundation staff and volunteers delivering exciting cricket activities in our Family zone. You don't need to know anything about cricket, just enthusiasm and a can do attitude, as all activities are simple. You will be looking after various stations of activity, engaging with the public and being a welcoming friendly face.

Responsibilities

You will be assisting in the delivery of small quick sports activities. Throwing balls for children to catch, overseeing catching activities, overseeing and assisting in the getting ready of batting activities, and overseeing a bowling activity. Most of these activities are self ran by children, they need a volunteer to help time manage, and allow the children equal turns.

Skills & Qualities

If you love cricket, fantastic! If you don't, don't worry, you are still more than welcome to support. we ask you have a can do attitude and enthusiasm. We work as a team in the family zone, representing Durham Cricket Foundation, so we always work to our highest standard to deliver quality (and most importantly, fun) activities.

When & Where?

When- Friday 9th June, 1pm until 830pm. Where- Banks homes riverside, DH3 3QR.

Training and Support Offered/Expenses

Training is not required for this role. We do support in you getting an ECB DBS so you can continue your volunteering in cricket.

Volunteer Benefits

we give uniform, and food whilst volunteering, and once your shift is finished, you are always welcome to stay and watch the rest of the match.

Accessibility and Transport Info

The event is at Banks Homes Riverside, in Chester-Le-Street. There are local links to public transport (bus and train) as well as parking coordinated for volunteers for every event.
