Join the community cast of STEAM

Southpaw Company brings STEAM to life – a spectacular outdoor performance celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Stockton & Darlington Railway, performed for all to see in Shildon and Stockton.

We’re inviting local people of all ages to take part in this unforgettable production. No experience is needed – just bring your energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to be part of something special!

We welcome everyone aged 16 and over. Those under 16 need to be accompanied by a chaperone.

Responsibilities

Community Cast: performing as a part of an ensemble of people from Shildon, Stockton and surrounding areas. The piece tells the origin story of the world’s first passenger railway and the extraordinary people who built it.

No prerequisite to being a part of STEAM.

Accessibility and Transport Info

Travel support on a 1 to 1 basis.
There will be transport on performance days: Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th of September between Shildon and Stockton.
