Rainbow Ramble Event Volunteers

Chester le Street

St Cuthbert’s Hospice is very excited to be able to announce our new outdoor event, ‘Rainbow Ramble’!

Rainbow Ramble takes place at Lambton Park Estate in Chester le Street on Saturday 4th September 2021. It is hoped that the event will provide a much-needed boost to the Hospice's fundraising efforts after a difficult 18 months.

Rainbow Ramble is a fun and colourful 5k route which will see participants take a lovely stroll around the beautiful grounds of Lambton, famous for local landmark Lambton Castle. There will be various paint powder paint stations around the route where some of our volunteers will have the fun task of throwing powdered paint at the participants.

We will need volunteers to help with all aspects of the day to make sure the event is a great day out for those taking part to raise sponsorship for the Hospice.

Participants will be showered in a rainbow of colourful powered paint as they take on the 2.5K course over 2 laps (which means double the rainbow!).

Volunteer roles to include stewards, photographers, merchandise sellers, registration volunteers, powdered paint throwers!

St Cuthbert’s Hospice provides care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families in County Durham, helping make “each day count”. Volunteers play an essential role in our ability to provide that support.

If you think you can spare a few hours of your day to help at this event please email fundraising@stcuthbertshospice.com or call 0191 386 1170 option 5 for further details and a volunteer registration form.

Please note: All volunteers must inform us that they intend to volunteer prior to the day if at all possible. We will ask all of our volunteers to complete a registration form and additional covid self-assessment prior to volunteering with us.
