The North Pennines National Landscape team are looking to recruit new volunteers to help conserve nature and enhance the natural beauty of the area. Our volunteers help with many activities across the landscape such as tree & hedge planting, wild seed collecting, wildlife surveys, recording and maintenance of heritage sites, event stewarding and much more.
There are many activities that happen throughout the year which are seasonally based, examples include:-
-Tree and hedge Planting
-Beewalk training for pollinator surveying
-Breeding wading bird surveys
-Adder surveys
-Botanical training
-Calaminarian seed collecting
-Wildflower seed collecting and sowing
No experience is necessary as all training will be provided, however a love of the outdoors and all the weather that can bring is helpful.
Activities are held at several locations throughout the North Pennines National Landscape.
Training will be provided on the day.

Activities can be held in remote places, on uneven and exposed ground. No transport is provided, but car sharing is usually avialable.
