Music Group Volunteer West Rainton

To help support the running of a relaxed music group in West Rainton

Responsibilities

We are looking for support with our new group. Whether you would like to help simply welcoming people in, help with refreshments, or whether you would like to be more involved in leading sessions singing or playing an instruments we have a role for you!

Skills & Qualities

Our clients are at risk of social isolation and this could be for any reason. As such you will need to be kind, non-judgemental and friendly. Musical experience is not required, however an enjoyment of music is a must as your enjoyment of the session will be vital to helping our clients relax and enjoy. Some clients may have dementia, mental or physical health difficulties, so you will need to be considerate and supportive of different people's needs.

When & Where?

Wednesday afternoons every other week starting Wednesday 26th April, 2-4pm

Training and Support Offered/Expenses

Leading this project is Rowena, a trustee and founder of the charity, who has masses of experience and skills to share and will support volunteers throughout. A full induction is offered, and some training is mandatory, all can be completed online.
All expenses incurred will be reimbursed, including mileage within distance boundaries.
