We are looking for a volunteer lead for our brand new community cafe.
We are looking for a friendly, people focused person to coordinate and support our team of volunteers to run our new community cafe. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the cafe, complying with health and safety rules and safe food prep.
This is a new venture for us so we are looking for someone who can use their skills and experience to make this a successful venture. Our volunteers are really important to us, therefore strong people management skills and a real team worker is important. We envisage this person to have catering or hospitality experience.
As this is a new venture we are hoping to open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Between 10 and 2pm initially. The lead will need to be there earlier and alittle later to open and close the cafe. We need you to be flexible as this may change, and we hope we can extend these hours in the future.
The Jubilee Hall is about 5miles from Durham, about 2 from Houghton Le Spring, in the village of West Rainton. The hall is the heart of the village , and there is a lovely sense of community here.
Level 2 Food hygiene certificate can be updated if needed. Support will be given from the MT and Trustees . Expenses can be discussed

The hall is accessible , free parking on the street, and the bus stop for the number 20 which runs between Sunderland and Durham is literally just outside the front door.
