We are looking for a kind, patient and friendly person to help assist our current Knitting Instructor with her ongoing weekly Knitting group "Knit Happens". You will need to have the skills and knowledge in knitting and crocheting, and be able to assist and support vulnerable adults struggling with their mental health. You will need to have the confidence to teach them new skills and guide them into creating an array of knitted items.
Assisting the instructor helping them plan and run their knitting group, whilst supporting vulnerable adults to create an array of knitted items.
- You must have a good amount of experience and knowledge in Knitting. knowledge in Crocheting is not essential but preferred.
- Must be friendly and approachable.
- Must have Safeguarding training. A training booklet will be given and we will send off for you certificate
- Experience in mental health is preferred but not essential. Extra training can be offered upon requested
- A full DBS check must be completed

St. Margaret's Centre is a registered charity as an activity and training hub for adults who need support with their mental wellbeing. The main aim of the Centre is to improve the health and wellbeing of the community, by providing a safe, therapeutic environment for people to regain their confidence, motivation and self-esteem while earning new skills and meeting new friends.
