Gingerbread Group Lead

Volunteering from Home

The role of a Gingerbread Group Lead is to set up a friendship group for single parents in the local area. This includes facilitating monthly meet ups, having a communication platform such as Facebook or Whatsap group. It will also include signposting where necessary and giving out information given by Gingerbread.

Gingerbread groups are run by single parents for single parents and their children. These are also free groups.

Responsibilities

The volunteer will run a group for single parents. This will facilitate connections by arranging meet ups, having a Facebook page or Whatsap group, being a place that single parents can come to. Also signposting to appropriate services where necessary.

Single Parent and experience
Good communication skills

Training and Support Offered/Expenses

Volunteer Coordinator will support the volunteer.
Full induction and training, including safeguarding training.
DBS check will be completed.
