This exciting, home-based role gives you an opportunity to be at the heart of our fun and buzzing volunteer programme! As a Project Lead Volunteer you will assist the North Free Sites Team on a series of mini-projects.

Responsibilities

You will provide support for a range of micro-projects in a range of ways, for example:

• Helping coordinate the delivery of new site specific volunteer handbooks. You will also provide continued support to this project by regularly reviewing handbooks to ensure they contain the most up-to-date information.

• Reviewing and organising resources across a range of volunteer Google Drives, to keep resources relevant and usable.

• Supporting and coordinating our upcoming Volunteer Forums, for example compiling lists of attendees, supporting sessions and writing up minutes.

• Facilitating our new volunteer social group programme for North based volunteers, including establishing

• a book club, with the opportunity to directly feed into and design aspects of the programme.

With an area that stretches from Cumbria across the iconic wall, down to the Yorkshire Dales and sweeping into the Peak District; no two projects will be the same.

We are looking for people who are passionate about heritage, committed to helping our charity grow and willing to try new things.

Training and Support Offered/Expenses

Any and all training needs identified will be covered by English Heritage and coordinated by the Territory Volunteer Managers.

• A DSE (display screen equipment) assessment will be needed to ensure we have covered any potential hazards whilst undertaking a role which involved sitting at a computer screen.

• All new volunteers will receive a Volunteer Handbook and induction pack as part of their role.

• As the main point of contact, the Territory Volunteer Managers will regularly keep in touch and arrange meetings and phone calls to maintain communication.
