We are always looking for volunteers in our busy hub in Bishop Auckland where we run our Community Pantry and Food Bank. We are looking for people who can bake, cook, do general administration tasks and help with preparing for events.
Every week we cook and bake fresh goods to sell in our Community Pantry. If cooking's not your thing you could prepare ingredients or wash up and tidy.
Our Foodbank is currently open three days a week asnd is always busy. We need help to pack food parcels for Foodbank customers and often emergency packs for those in immediate crisis.
We have a busy office area where we need help in answering calls, taking messages, and general administration tasks. We often have members of the public call in for support or advice and aim to provide a friendly face and welcoming environment.
We often are preparing for events where we need help in putting together gift packs, raffles, tombolas and necessary paperwork and equipment.
You will need a willingness to work in our busy hub.where there are often many things going on at the same time! An interest in people and the local area is essential as we are proud to serve the community in which we are based. A positive attitude and patient manner is required as we often meet people in crisis who need empathetic support and a comforting environment.

You will receive an induction and any training necessary for the role.
Angel Trust will reimburse any reasonable out of pocket expenses in support of the Charity's activities.
You will be part of a bright and friendly team who will guide and support you. A welcoming environment awaits where no two days are the same and we often have to adapt quickly to the latest challenge.
You will be supporting the local community in a well established organisation with a high reputation. Our volunteers tell us they are proud of the work they do to help local people and love seeing a project they have worked on come to fruition.
We have a large kitchen where there are always treats available with a cup of tea or coffee provided.
