Help your community be climate ready..
With a changing climate comes a change in weather patterns we are likely to see extreme rainfall & periods of drought all in one year. Temperatures rising means that their may be a heightened risk of wildfires & a risk of flooding, This role is to help raise awareness and be active in your community in preparation for such events. That may be through increasing green space / preparing for flooding through emergency plans & property level protection / conserving water etc. The role can vary depending on your area.

Tasks that suit your area. For those who are near to or within a flood risk zone we would like them to be on a list of Severe Weather Volunteers who we could contact during an event if needed or they can contact us when the incident room is open. This role can also be a proactive role shaped by the community of raising awareness and safety for a changing climate.
