Energy advisor buddy

The volunteer energy advisor buddy supports the energy advisor during home visits by gathering information, and offering a calm, non-judgemental presence.

Responsibilities

This role involves attending home visits with a trained energy advisor. It may involve taking basic notes and keeping information confidential.

Skills & Qualities

No experience needed - you just need to provide a welcoming and supportive presence.

When & Where?

Home appointments take place during Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

Training and Support Offered/Expenses

45p per mile expenses for driving. We will provide basic energy advice training through National Energy Action. There is also the opportunity to achieve level 1, level 2 and level 3 energy related accredited qualifications for free.

Accessibility and Transport Info

Home appointments are delivered across East Durham. Either you can make your own way to the appointment, or you can come to Community House, Peterlee, and travel with the energy advisor.
