To provide support in our Eco Market working alongside other team members.

Responsibilities

To provide support by:
Transferring, sorting, and presenting food
Guiding and listening to users, as well as supporting them in using the service
Cleaning

Skills & Qualities

The role requires that the person is understanding, non-judgmental, diplomatic and observe a level of confidentiality as users may disclose personal issues, especially of a financial nature. Younger and inexperienced volunteers will be supported in developing these traits.
The role requires commitment, reliability and consistency. It will involve some lifting.
As we try to pass on tips on using up/cooking with foods, knowledge of this area is desirable, but not essential.
It is desirable that volunteers undertake a level 2 food hygiene course (either online or in person to be covered by LCBC) or have a good understanding of food hygiene and be able to follow procedures.

Mondays, 9.00am – 12.30pm
Thursdays, 9.30 am– 1.30 pm
Volunteers can sign up for one or both days.
