To represent St Margaret's Centre at local craft fairs, selling handmade products that support our mental health charity. You'll be the friendly face of our community work, connecting the public with the care and creativity behind every item.
- Set up and staff our stall at local craft fairs, creating a welcoming and professional presence
- Collect stock from the Centre and transport it to and from craft fair venues
- Sell handmade goods created by our wonderful team of volunteers at the Centre, including wooden items crafted in our woodwork shop
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately and securely
- Share the story behind our products and the work of St Margaret's Centre with customers
- Liaise with our product design team to understand stock availability, product details, and any special features or stories
- Communicate feedback from customers to help the design and woodwork teams understand what's popular and what people are looking for
- Keep accurate records of sales and stock
- Pack down at the end of each fair and ensure all items and equipment are returned safely
- Friendly, approachable manner with good communication skills
- Comfortable talking to members of the public and representing a mental health charity
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to drive and access to a vehicle for collecting and transporting stock to and from craft fairs
- Able to work as part of a team and liaise respectfully with volunteers across different areas
- Basic numeracy for handling sales
- Physically able to help with setting up and packing down stalls
Pick up and drop off of stock will be from St. Margaret's Centre. Location of Craft fairs will may change.

Petrol/Diesel expenses will be reimbursed based on mileage to and from craft fairs.
You may occasionally be asked to join our Product Design group morning meetings to discuss any upcoming Craft fairs and any product requirements.
You will be invited along to our volunteer appreciation day, which take place at the end of the year.
You will need to have a full drivers license and have access to a vehicle for collecting and transporting stock to and from craft fairs.
You may be volunteering alongside some of our internal volunteers who are vulnerable adults. A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is essential for this role and will be provided by the Centre if one is not already in place. If you already retain an Adult Workforce DBS certificate, we will accept this if it is dated within 2 last years.
