Community Volunteer

As a Community Volunteer, you’ll be part of a local team or committee, contributing ideas and initiatives to promote our mission of preventing and solving crime through anonymous reporting and increased community awareness.

Responsibilities

• Represent and promote Crimestoppers locally
• Support awareness campaigns, events, and outreach activities
• Participate in local volunteer or committee meetings
• Work independently on ideas that align with Crimestoppers’ aims
• Offer feedback and suggestions to strengthen local community engagement.

Skills & Qualities

• No specific experience required – full training provided
• Enthusiasm for Crimestoppers’ mission and vision
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a community-focused approach
• Previous volunteering or outreach experience is helpful but not essential

When & Where?

The Committee covers the whole of County Durham .

Training and Support Offered/Expenses

You will receive comprehensive training, plus ongoing support and guidance from your local team and the Volunteer Management Team.

Accessibility and Transport Info
