Community Garden Volunteer

CALM aims to improve the mental, emotional and physical wellbeing of the community through formal programmes, creative classes, access to a community cafe, a range of volunteering opportunities and workshops including yoga and meditation. At CALM there is a beautiful green space for growing and relaxing. This space needs support to use and maintain it in all different ways.

Responsibilities

There are manual tasks and jobs that always need doing on small or large scales. We welcome people who have growing or gardening experience to come and share their knowledge.

Skills & Qualities

Any level of gardening/maintenance skills. All are welcome.

When & Where?

CALM CIC in Peterlee, Wednesdays various times between 10.00am - 3.00pm and Sundays 10.00am - 2.00pm. Any time that can be given is welcome.

Volunteer Benefits

There is a volunteer voucher of £6 to spend in the cafe on site on Sundays (Sundays only).

Accessibility and Transport Info

There are various buses from Peterlee bus station to Lowhills Road: routs 201, 22 and 807 (route 807 school days only).
