Energise your local community to save energy, reduce bills and learn together about community energy possibilities.

Responsibilities

Talk about the programme at stalls in community spaces, spread the word about the energy advice service, start conversations about energy and climate with friends, family and neighbours. Engage in a monthly task for example setting up and assisting at a workshop.

Skills & Qualities

Comfortable chatting to new people in community spaces, good listener, able to explain ideas simply, interest in helping your local area.

When & Where?

Energising East Durham is based in Community House, Peterlee, however we work across East Durham particularly in Blackhall, Wheatley Hill, Shotton and Easington.

Training and Support Offered/Expenses

45p per mile expenses for driving. We will provide basic energy advice training through National Energy Action. There is also the opportunity to achieve level 1, level 2 and level 3 energy related accredited qualifications for free.
