Community Champion North East

Our Community Champions are at the heart of helping us to create a world without limits for people with epilepsy. They offer support and visibility at a local level, from encouraging people to get involved with fundraising to raising awareness and sharing their own experiences.

Our Community Champions in the North East have three main roles:

Helping to raise awareness about Epilepsy Action’s work to make a difference for people living with epilepsy.

Assisting with setting up information stands, engaging with the general public, distributing materials, and helping to challenge the stigma surrounding epilepsy.

Actively engaging and building networks and connections with local groups and associations in the North East.

There's flexibility, so you can decide how you want to support and champion Epilepsy Action, to really make a difference at the heart of your community.

Over time as we grow our Community Champion network there will be more opportunities to get involved and encourage others to organise a wider variety of activities and fundraising in your community. We'd love to hear your ideas too!

You'll be joining our vibrant volunteer community and will be fully supported by our dedicated volunteer team.
