Afternoon Tea Volunteer

Being a volunteer with us is highly rewarding and involves helping with the set up of afternoon teas, being a friendly face and meeting people in the community. Can enjoy free afternoon tea before assisting with he clearing away.

These will be held once a month on a Friday afternoon, you can volunteer once or multiple times.

Responsibilities

Serve hot drinks at tables and help set up tables/chairs, clear away, and serve food.
Enjoy a free afternoon tea, can also bring friends and family!
Chatting to people in the community, making everyone feel welcome and safe.
Having a great time!

Skills & Qualities

Be a friendly face to people in the community, including older adults who are often frail and sometimes lonely.

Be physically able to carry and serve hot drinks, as well as help set up chairs/tables. and be willing to roll up your sleeves and follow health and safety instructions from our staff team.

When & Where?

The Drama Studio in the TCR Hub, Shaw Bank, Barnard Castle DL12 8TD, second Friday of each month from 1-3pm starting April 12th.

Training and Support Offered/Expenses

Volunteer expenses are reimbursed @ 45p per mile.
Training and support is provided by our staff team who are on duty throughout club sessions.
