Regional Bloom Volunteer

We are looking for volunteers to support our Bloom programme in the north of England. This role is flexible but ideally, you will be able to commit 5 hours per week to volunteering for a minimum of 1 school term.

You will volunteer flexibly from home with the support of your regional Engagement Officer who will help you with working out a plan based on the times you feel able to contribute to the project, with 5 hours a week as the minimum.

About the project

Bloom is a UK-wide programme which supports young people’s mental health resilience. Delivered in schools and colleges, Bloom equips young people with the tools and knowledge to maintain their mental health through life’s transitions, both now and in the future.

Responsibilities

Join us for one school term or more to:

-Help us bring our training to as many young people in your area as possible, enabling them to maintain their mental health and wellbeing throughout life’s transitions
-Research the education landscape in your area to identify new contacts and build connections with your community
-Take part in face-to-face engagement in your local area by visiting local schools
-Work with our engagement officers to build connections with key local stakeholders
-Demonstrate our impact in your area by sharing news of Bloom’s success with stakeholders
-Observe Bloom workshops in local schools and colleges
-Support online training and webinars by providing technical support for our Training Associates
-Write blog posts for our Clic forum in relevant areas of interest
-Contribute to a regular Bloom newsletter
-Take part in a Bloom volunteer forum

Skills & Qualities

-You will have good communication skills
-You will be able to commit 5 hours per week to volunteering
-You will have basic IT and admin skills
-You will have access to the internet and your own phone

This job is home-based, so all you need is access to the Internet and your own phone.
